A two-day State level Annual Action plan meeting of KVKs
of Uttarakhand state was organised on 14-15 June 2024 at Krishi Vigyan Kendra,
Haridwar to finalize the annual action plan for 2024-25. In this program, 13 Senior Scientists and Head along with the SMS of
KVKs representing 13 KVKs of Uttarakhand participated and presented their
action plan for the year 2024-25.
Dr. Jatinder Kwatra, Director Extension Education,
GBPUA&T, Pantnagar & Dr. Arvind Bijalwan, Director Extension Education,
VCSGUUH&F, Bharsar, also attended the workshop and provide their valuable
inputs. Dr. Parvender Sheoran, Director, ICAR-ATARI, Ludhiana in his inaugural
address on 14th June 2024, acknowledged the efforts of both the
Universities for providing full support to KVKs of Uttarakhand for achieving
success in different aspects of agricultural and allied activities. He also
urged to include farm technologies developed by the ICAR institutes/SAUs under
on-farm trials and frontline demonstrations. He also said workable
demonstration units and instructional farm should be maintained and used for
educating the farmers and extension workers.
The heads of all KVKs from Uttarakhand discussed in
details the OFTs and FLDs proposed to be carried out in their respective
districts, during the year. The unified state level action plan was finalized
subject matter wise for the districts to be executed during the year.
